Cardiovascular disease has become the major killer and leading cause of death worldwide due to vast changes in the lifestyle of people. Quantitative research approach and descriptive research design was adopted to assess the modifiable risk factors of cardiovascular diseases among adults at selected community. Seventy five participants aged 20 to above 60 years from Ayapakkam village, Thiruvallur district were selected by non probability convenience sampling method. Structure interview schedule was used to assess the modifiable risk of cardiovascular diseases. The results revealed that there was statistically significant association was found with selected demographical variables like education and income. Hence 96% of the life style changes (unhealthy diet, physical inactivity and habits) are found to be main modifiable risk factors of cardiovascular diseases
