The global burden of high blood pressure supports predictions of a worldwide epidemic of cardio-vascular disease. The aim of the study was identify the Effectiveness of yogasana therapy in reducing the levels of stress among women with hypertension. A quantitative approach was undertaken using one group pre and post test design. Purposive sampling technique was adopted to select 30 women with hypertension. ISMA stress questionnaire was used for this study. The study findings revealed that mean value of pretest levels of stress among women with hypertension was 22.2 and SD ±0.574. After yogasana therapy the post test mean value was 5.53 and SD±2.05. The paired “t ”test value of 43.6 had significant difference hence proving the reduction in the levels of stress after yogasana therapy.
