Bio diversity refers to the variety of life. This diversity of living creatures forms a support system for its growth & development. There are 3 types of biodiversity like species, Genetic and ecosystem diversity. It is essential component for human being by providing food, fuel, shelter, medicines and other resources to mankind. Biodiversity providing three flavors of services. It is essential like provisioning services, Regulating Services and Cultural Services. Habitat destruction, Genetic pollution, over exploitation, Climate Change and Human overpopulation are the threats to biodiversity. Biodiversity can be protected by restoration techniques, national parks, wildlife sanctuary, zoological parks, botanical gardens, resource allocation, public policies and programmes.
