Mental health disorders are growing global concern nowadays. Anecdotal evidence of connection between diet and brain function has been present and growing for many years. Dietary intake and nutritional status of individuals are important factors affecting mental health and the development of psychiatric disorder. Several nutritional factors can influence mental health, including overall energy intake, intake of energy containing nutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fats), alcohol intake, intake of vitamins and minerals.often deficiencies of multiple nutrients rather a single nutrient are responsible for changes in brain functioning.
