Stress is pandemic in today's society and it is one of the biggest problems faced by the teachers. A Quasi Experimental study was conducted among 60 female school teachers with the objectives of assessing the level of stress and evaluating the effect of meditation for reducing stress. Results showed that 90% of female teachers had moderate stress; 10% of female teachers had severe stress and meditation was found effective in reducing stress level of female teachers.
