Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyper Activity Disorder is a common behavioral disorder that affects as estimated 8%-10% of school age children. ADHD affects boys 3times more than for girls although it not known. Children with this disorder often suffer from of her specific learning disabilities like dyslexia, language disorder or a weakness with Mathematics, lot of titles have used for this disorder in the past, such as minimal Brain, Damage/Minimal Brain Dysfunction, Hyperkinetic child syndrome etc. Standard treatments for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder in children include medications, education, training and counseling. These treatments can relieve many of the symptoms of ADHD, but they don't cure it. It may take some time to determine what works best for your child. Yoga is an effective complementary treatment for children with ADHD Yoga, a combination of physical postures, breathing exercises and meditation techniques, develops a mind/body connection that many children with ADHD struggle with. It also gives children the tools to self-regulate. Behavior modification is the only non-medical treatment for ADHD with a large scientific evidence base.
