Abstract

Nutrition of adolescent school children is of paramount importance because the foundation for their life time health, strength and intellectual vitality is laid during this period. It is a dynamic period of their physical growth as well as of their mental development. The aim of the study is to assess the nutritional status among adolescent girls. Quantitative research approach was adopted to assess the nutritional status of 50 adolescent girls who were selected using convenient sampling technique. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data. The study revealed that there is still a necessity to conduct nutritional education and supplemental program to prevent the nutritional deficiency and malnutrition in adolescent girls.
