Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is one of the top 10 causes of mortality worldwide. Worldwide, TB incidence is falling at about 2% per year. This needs to speed up to a 4–5% annual turn down to reach the 2020 milestones of the End TB Strategy. An estimated 54 million lives were protected through TB diagnosis and treatment between 2000 and 2017. The Stop TB Partnership is paving the way to a world without tuberculosis (TB), a disease that is curable but still kills three people every minute. Founded in 2001, the Partnership's mission is to serve every person who is vulnerable to TB and ensure that high-quality diagnosis, treatment and care is present to all who need it.
