Obesity in children and adolescents is a rapidly growing epidemic all over the world. A descriptive study was conducted to determine the prevalence of obesity and its associated factors among adolescents. The study findings revealed that the overall prevalence of adolescent obesity was 4.1%. Age, gender, education, religion, type of family, monthly income of the family, dietary pattern, birth order, number of siblings, school management, attainment of puberty, unhealthy habits, BMI, medical illness and family history of obesity were the associated factors found in adolescent obesity.
