Randomised control design with 60 adult women between 21 - 60 years in each experimental and control group with multistage sampling was adopted. Total number of samples in the study n=120. The mean difference of knowledge gain score is 10.70(35.67%) p ≤ 0.05 in experimental group, the mean difference of knowledge gain score 0.55(1.83%) at p ≤ 0.05 in control group without any teaching shows the effectiveness of structured teaching programme.
