COVID-19 affects people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization Aim of the present study was to assess the effectiveness of patient education program on knowledge and attitude regarding prevention of COVID-19. Pre-experimental one group pretest and posttest design was used. Result showed an increased level of knowledge in posttest compared with pre test .There was a significant association between pretest knowledge and attitude with demographic variables such as education and domicile (p<0.05) which was statistically confirmed with Kruskall-Wallis test / Mann-Whitney 'u' test. Hence it can be concluded that patient education program is effective in improving the knowledge and attitude level of the samples.
