Children below the age of five years, who constitute over 20% of population, are the most vulnerable group for malnutrition. Aim: Assess the effect of administration of Hyderabad Mix in weight gain to selected malnourished children. The research design adopted was survey and one group pretest and posttest design - a type of quasi-experimental design. The sample size included in the study was 24 malnourished children between the age group of 1-5 years. General examination, height and weight were measured to note the signs and symptoms of malnutrition. Hyderabad mix was administered for three weeks. After three weeks post assessment was done. The study concluded that Hyderabad mix was found to be effective & there was a significant difference in weight before and after administration of Hyderabad mix at 0.001 levels.
