Relationship between emotional intelligence and occupational stress among the staff nurses at Kmch, Coimbatore

The human being is the most important factor of the changes that we see in different societies. The purpose of the study is to assess the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Occupational Stress among the staff nurses at KMCH. The research design was descriptive research design, the study was conducted in KMCH, Coimbatore. Population of the study is staff nurses working at KMCH, and sample size is 200. The sampling technique is non-probability convenient sampling, demographic data, genos emotional intelligence inventory and occupational stress scale used as tool. The result of the study was correlation between the two variables shows there is a negative correlation between emotional intelligence and occupational stress (r = -0.829**).
