A descriptive study to assess the level of self-esteem among patients diagnosed with Alcohol Dependence syndrome using quantitative approach with nonexperimental descriptive research design. Fifty samples were selected by non-probability purposive sampling technique in selected Deaddiction Centre, Puducherry. A structured questionnaire and Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale was used to assess the level of self-esteem. The findings reveal that majority of patients with Alcohol Dependence Syndrome 34(68%) were having normal self-esteem and 16(32%) were having lower self-esteem. The chi-square value reveals that there is no statistically significant relationship between demographic variables and Alcohol Dependent patients’ level of self-esteem.
