Design thinking is a process for solving problem by prioritizing the people’s needs it can be articulated in five steps empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test.
To assess the Knowledge and Attitude regarding Myths and Facts about Mental illnesspeople residing in selected rural area To assess the Knowledge and Attitude regarding Myths and Facts about Mental illness among people residing in selected urban area To deliver structured teaching Programme on Knowledge and Attitude regarding Myths and Facts about Mental illness among people residing in selected urban and rural area To associate the Knowledge and Attitude regarding Myths and Facts about Mental illness among rural area with their selected demographic variables
The design adopted one group pre-test, one group post-test research design in a selected setting. The sample size was 60 (Urban - n=30) and (rural - n=30). The sample is selected by means of Stratified random sampling technique. The knowledge and attitude regarding myths and facts about mental illness among residing people in selected rural and urban area
the calculated value of „t▯ is greater than the tabulated value of „t▯ at 5% level of significance. There is a significant difference between two groups score on knowledge and attitude regarding myths and facts about mental illness among residing people in selected rural and urban area. This implies that structured teaching programme is effective in improving the knowledge and attitude regarding myths and facts about mental illness among residing people in selected rural and urban area
The present study had been supported by a series of other studies which agreed upon that teaching increases knowledge and attitude among residing people in selected rural and urban area. From the analysis and results it was concluded that the structured teaching programme was effective in improving the knowledge and attitude of residing people in selected rural and urban area regarding myths and facts about mental illness.
