Impairments in emotion regulation are common in psychiatric disorders like schizophrenia. This study assessed the effectiveness of Emotional Management Training on emotion regulation among schizophrenia patients at a hospital in Coimbatore. A quasi-experimental design was used with 30 participants, divided into experimental (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. Emotional Management Training was provided to the experimental group over four weeks. The mean pretest score for the experimental group was 115.93, which dropped to 83.33 in the post-test. A significant improvement was observed (t=3.78, p < 0.01), highlighting the training’s effectiveness in improving emotion regulation.
