Meditation on perceived examination stress among students

Abstract

A study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of meditation on perceived examination stress among students at a selected school. Whoever satisfied the inclusion criteria were selected and meditation technique which reduces the level of stress was demonstrated to the students. Pamphlets includes procedure of meditation which was given to the SSLC students. On the whole, the study confirmed that the assumption which was formulated at the beginning was factual and the study was effective in reducing the stress on the assessment of 60 samples. In the pre-test 5 (8.3 percentage) students had moderate stress and 55 (91.7 percentage) students had severe stress. After practicing meditation among 60 samples in the post-test 53 (88.3 percentage) had mild stress, 07 (11.7 percentage) had moderate stress after meditation practice.
