Behavioural disorder is a type of mental disorder characterized by persistent or repetitive behaviors which may disrupt others and activities around the child. One group pre-test, post-test design was chosen for this study and it was conducted among 30 parents at child guidance clinic at Chennai byconvenience sampling technique. The mean score of pretest was 6.49 and posttest 12.42. The calculated “t” value is 6.5.There was a significant association between demographic variables like age of children and mother,occupation of mother, birth order of child, type of family, are highly significant. The investigator concludes that commitment by child health nurse will create awareness among parents of pre-school children to promote healthy children.
