Effectiveness of therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction

Quality of care is a system approach to health satisfaction and is a major indicator of quality of care services, which emphasizes both technical competence as well as interpersonal dimension of patient satisfaction with nursing. The present study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of therapeutic communication and patient satisfaction in Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College & Hospital at Puducherry” A Descriptive research design using quantitative approach was used. A sample of 30 patients using Convenience sampling technique was used.From the findings of the present study it was concluded that there was good level of satisfaction among patients regarding therapeutic communication maintained by nurses.
