Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of human needs theory states, the most fundamental needs of human beings are air, water, food, and sleep. Some of critical or lifethreatening conditions such as stroke, major head injury, and severe respiratory distress can imbalance the normal respiratory function leads to alveolar hypoventilation, alveolar hyperventilation, atelectasis, pneumothorax, and other ventilator-associated problems. A Quantitative evaluative approach, preexperimental research with one group pre and posttest design with convenient method of sampling was adopted for the study. The structured knowledge questionnaire was formulated and distributed among seventy health care professionals. The findings shows, that the subjects 50% were in moderately adequate knowledge in pretest had improved to adequate level of knowledge 52.8% in posttest. Considering level of knowledge, the mean value on VAP, on Mechanical Ventilation and Bundle care was statistically significant at P=0.001.
