A study to assess the effectiveness of flash card teaching on knowledge regarding prevention of short term complication among patient with diabetes mellitus. Pre-experimental one group pre and post- test research design was carried out in this study. A total of 50 samples were selected by using non probability Convenient sampling technique. The pre and post-test level of knowledge regarding Prevention of short term complication was assessed by using structured knowledge questionnaires The finding of the study showed that the mean difference of pre and post-test is 5.5, standard error is 0.45. The 't' value of 12.17 is highly significant at p<0.05. it indicates that the knowledge level of patient was improved after flash card teaching. Hence it can be concluded that, flash card teaching on prevention of short term complication of diabetes mellitus was effective in improving the knowledge level among patient with diabetes mellitus.
