Knowledge Regarding Breast Cancer Screening Programme among Women

The study was conducted to assess the knowledge regarding breast cancer screening programme among women in a selected community. Non-experimental explorative research study design was used and purposive sampling technique was followed . The tool used for the study was self-structured questionnaire that consists of demographic variables and knowledge about the breast cancer screening programme. The results revealed that 87% had moderately adequate knowledge, 25% had inadequate knowledge and none of them had adequate knowledge. It shows still need to be educated through awareness programme on breast cancer and screening.
