Abstract

About 40 percentage of persons who have previously been infected by one of the Dengue serotypes develop bleeding and endothelial leak upon infection with another serotype. This syndrome is termed as Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). Nurses who are taking care of these ill patients should be aware of it. A Quantitative Experimental Research of Pre experimental one group pre- test and post-test design with non-probability purposive sampling technique was adopted to conduct the study. The structured knowledge questionnaire was formulated and distributed among 30 nurses. The findings show that 15(50%) were having moderate level of knowledge in pre test had improved to adequate level of knowledge 20(66.7%) in post-test. In conclusion, the study shows that after computer assisted teaching program regarding Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever among nurses shows a significant statistical effectiveness in the post test at p<0.05
