The aim of the study was to assess the knowledge and practice of diabetic diet among diabetic clients with a view to develop information pamphlets in Madaganeri community, Tirunelveli Dist. In this study the Descriptive exploratory design was used, Non probability convenient sampling technique was used to select the samples for this study. Data was collected through the knowledge questionnaire and practice was assessed by self-structured Questionnaire by the investigator. Descriptive and Inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. In this study regarding knowledge of diabetic diet among the diabetic clients 20(66.7%) were having low level knowledge, 8 (26.7%) were having moderate level of knowledge, 2(6.6%) were having adequate level of knowledge. Regarding practice of diabetic diet 29(70%) of the diabetic clients were having poor practice, 8(26.6%) were having average practice, 1(3.3%) of them having good practice. The researcher also distributed information pamphlets to the research group.
