A Comparative study was conducted to assess the level of awareness on tuberculosis among the semi urban and rural clients residing at Kancheepuram District. Quantitative research design, Non-probability purposive sampling technique was adopted. The setting of the study was designated microscopic centres in tuberculosis units at Kancheepuram District. The tools used for the study was Questionnaire that includes Demographic variables and the questions to assess the level of awareness. This study concludes that the level of awareness was statistically increased for the semi urban clients 27(64.3%) than the rural clients 19 (45.2%).
