Effectiveness of Cryotherapy on Arterio Venous Puncture Pain

A pre-experimental research design, one group pre and post research design was used to evaluate the effectiveness of cryotherapy on level of pain during arterio venous fistula vein puncture among patients undergoing hemodialysis in a selected hospital. The study result showed that there is a significant effect in reduce the pain after using the cryotherapy during the arteriovenous fistula puncture. In pretest 4 (8%) moderate and severe pain and very severe pain 46 (92%), in posttest mild pain 32 (76%), moderate pain12 (24%).
