Abstract

Digital diaries have become an essential tool in the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, enabling patients to actively track and manage their health. These platforms allow for the recording of critical data such as blood glucose levels, medication adherence, dietary intake, physical activity, and symptoms. The use of digital diaries not only enhances self-care but also facilitates communication between patients and healthcare providers. This article explores the uses, techniques, and features of digital diaries in diabetes management, with a focus on their practical applications and the role of nurses in supporting patients. Healthcare professionals, particularly nurses, play a crucial role in guiding patients through the use of these tools, ensuring adherence, and helping interpret the data for better clinical decisions. Overall, digital diaries present an innovative approach to diabetes care, fostering patient empowerment and improving management of the disease.
