Abstract

Osteoporosis is a major threat affecting post menopausal women. Non experimental descriptive research design was conducted to assess the cognition on deterrence of osteoporosis among thirty post menopausal women using purposive sampling technique. The data pertaining to cognition on deterrence of osteoporosis was collected using structured questionnaire. The findings revealed that 53.33% of post menopausal women had moderate cognition, 46.66% had inadequate knowledge and none had adequate knowledge.
