The clinical practice stimulates students to use their critical thinking skills for solving problems. The objective of this study was to investigate the perception of medical surgical nursing clinical experience among fourth year B. Sc Nursing Students. Qualitative design was adopted with focus group interview to collect student's opinion and experiences from 38 final year B. Sc(N) students about their medical surgical nursing clinical experiences. The focused group interview emerged with four themes; anxiety, clinical experience, clinical supervision and role of clinical supervisors. The study results showed that majority of the students had fear initially as compared to fourth year B. Sc. Nursing related to their medical surgical clinical experience. The clinical supervisors were expected to possess good teaching and demonstration skills in addition to being encourager and communicator by the students.
