Abstract

Computer competency is an essential skill for everyone in today's technological world. Nurses could conserve time in documentation and improve the quality of nursing practice. The pre test was assessed using the structured questionnaire and the structured teaching programme was conducted among the staff nurses regarding computer competencies which were followed by the post test. The results showed that the pre-test mean score was 23.43 with standard deviation of 6.02 and post-test mean score was 38.80 with standard deviation of 5.63. The calculated ‘t ’value of 14.01 was highly significant at the level of p<0.001.
