Abstract

The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of foot reflexology on blood pressure and quality of life among patients with hypertension. A quasi experimental study was conducted among 120 patients with hypertension in the age group of 30yrs and above admitted in selected Hospital at Chennai. The study results showed that reduction of blood pressure and improved quality of life among patients with hypertension in experimental group than in control group. In experimental group pretest and posttest mean difference scores of systolic blood pressure was 20.00 mmHg and mean difference score of diastolic blood pressure was 12.43 mmHg. Regarding quality of life in the experimental group pretest and posttest mean score of quality of life was mean difference was 26.24 at 95% confidence level.
