One group pre-testpost-test design was used and 40 samples were selected by consecutive sampling technique. The pre-test knee joint pain level scores were assessed using universal pain assessment scale. Selected quadriceps strengthening exercises were taught to the samples and they practiced 2 times per day for 3 weeks. The practice was assessed using self-reported check list. Post test was conducted after 3 weeks by same scale. The effect was computed by paired t test(26.334) and found to be effective. There was no association between pre-test pain level score with selected demographic variables. The study concludes quadriceps strengthening exercises are effective.
