Abstract

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a condition which can affect a woman’s menstrual cycle, fertility, hormones and aspects of her appearance. The present Pre experimental (one group pre- test post- test) study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of video assisted teaching regarding polycystic ovarian syndrome in term of knowledge and attitude among higher secondary students, Coimbatore. A total of 40 higher secondary school students were selected using Non probability Convenience sampling technique. The result of the study revealed that, Video Assisted Teaching was effective in improving the level of knowledge (t =12.3) and developing favorable attitude (t =7.6) regarding Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome among higher secondary students.
