Nursing process is a systematic problem solving approach to identify, prevent and treat the actual and potential health problems and also to promote wellbeing of the patients. There are certain factors which facilitates and also act as a barriers in utilizing nursing process in the actual settings. This study was done among 30 staff nurses working in SMVMCH, Puducherry. Self structured questionnaire was used to collect the data on barriers in implementing nursing process in nursing care and the study findings revealed that majority of the nurses had moderate level of barriers in implementing nursing process.
