Abstract

Nursing informatics is a rapidly growing field that combines nursing science with information technology to improve healthcare delivery. As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, nursing informatics plays a vital role in shaping the future of patient care. Convenient sampling technique was used to select the samples for this study. Researcher developed a self-administered validated knowledge questionnaire and attitude scale to collect data. Result showed only 1 participant (2%) demonstrating adequate knowledge, while 37 participants (74%) displayed a moderately adequate knowledge, and 12 participants (24%) were found to have inadequate knowledge. However, a positive trend emerged in terms of attitude, with 41 (82%) of participants showing a positive attitude towards the importance of nursing informatics, while 9 (18%) showed a negative attitude. The study found that there was significant association between years of experience and attitude score with p=0.036 at 0.05 level.
