Abstract

Intranet usage will play a vital role in the medical arena while rendering patient care. Hence a study was conducted to determine the efficacy of intranet access and utilization on clinical performance and nursing process application. One group pre and post test design was used among B. Sc. Nursing II year students at College of Nursing, SRU. Main outcome measures were Clinical performance and use of nursing process application. Results: There was a significant difference in the pre and post test score with the application of nursing process in patient care and overall clinical performance. Conclusion: The Nurses play an vital role in imparting the knowledge to patients in various aspects of their illness and improve their quality of life. This can be facilitated by motivating the novice nurses to provide intranet based nursing interventions based on the needs of the patients to provide comprehensive professional care.
