The teaching styles of teachers is based on their educational philosophy, pedagogy, classroom demography, subject area they teach and the institute's mission statement. The aim of the study was to assess the perceived teaching styles of nursing faculty in a selected college of nursing.
Descriptive exploratory research design was adopted for conducting the study The participants were selected using purposive sampling technique and data was collected from 40 nursing faculty using modified Grash Riechmann teaching style inventory. The data were statistically analyzed and the results revealed that 42.5% of the nursing faculty has adopted personal model as the most individualized teaching style and 30% have reported facilitator role. Thus when nursing faculty know their teaching preferences they can use a wide variety of teaching styles to exactly match students ’learning preferences.
