Abstract

Nursing is a concept that brings to mind a multiple ideas and images. In this era when nursing is no longer isolated in hospital or community settings, it is crucially important that the nursing professionals and other who would work with nurses have a clear meaning of the nursing profession. The objective of the study was to assess the Image of nurses among Engineering students. Quantitative approach and descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The study was conducted at selected Engineering college, Vellore. A total of 50 students were selected who fulfilled the inclusive criteria by adopting non probability convenient sampling sampling technique. The tool used for the study was 5 point rating scale to assess the Image of nurses among Engineering. The study concluded that, 9 (18%) Engineering students have satisfactory level of image on Nurses and 41 (82%) students have good image on Nurses. None of them have poor image on Nurses.
