Abstract

Stress has been categorized as a consequence or stimulus or response, and as an interaction Workforce studies often identify burnout as nursing outcome. A descriptive research design was selected through purposive sampling technique 50 samples were selected, with the main objective of assessing the job satisfaction and level of burn out among nurses in a view to prepare instructional aids about coping strategies among staff nurses, in selected hospital at Puducherry. It reveals that most of the nurses, 35 (70%) had moderate burnout and has job satisfaction.
