Knowledge and attitude on no-scalpel vasectomy among the husbands of the mothers admitted in the obstetric and gynecology ward at Rmmch, Annamalai University

To assess the knowledge and attitude on no-scalpel vasectomy among 100 husbands of antenatal and post natal mothers admitted at RMMCH.

Non experimental Descriptive design and convenience sampling technique was used for data collection. Structured interview schedule was used to assess the knowledge and attitude.

56% had inadequate knowledge, 40% moderately adequate knowledge and 4% adequate knowledge, Attitude result - 19 % had favorable attitude, 45% uncertain attitude and 36% unfavourable attitude.

The effective information, communication and education need to be emphasized to create awareness on no scalpel vasectomy.
