Abstract

Pain is a major discomfort which drives post Caesarean section mothers to seek help.

To assess the effectiveness of multimodal ministration of nursing care on pain among post caesarean mothers.

Quasi experimental time series design, using convenience sampling technique, 30 samples were assigned for experimental and 30 for control group. Data was collected on lower segment caesarean section pain by using numerical pain rating scale.

In post test in the experimental group, mean caesarean pain score was 2.23 whereas in the control group it was 5.90., (p<0.001).

Midwives practice of complementary therapy is important to provide a platform for independent midwifery practitioners.
