Antenatal period is often a fearful and stressful time physically and emotionally for the new parents. Primi mothers would have fear and anxiety due to lack of knowledge and ideas about delivery. This study aimed to assess the pre-test and post-test level of childbirth fear among antenatal mothers, and to determine the effectiveness of emotional freedom techniques on level of childbirth fear among antenatal mothers and to associate the post-test level of child birth fear with the selected demographic variables among antenatal mothers. Quantitative quasi experimental pre-test, post-test design was employed. Totally 60 primi mothers (30 experimental & 30 control group) in 36-38 weeks of gestation were selected by using Purposive sampling technique. The result shows that, in pre-test, majority of antenatal mothers 23(76.7%) had severe level of childbirth fear whereas in post test majority 26(86.7%) had mild level of fear. It concluded that the emotional freedom technique (EFT) intervention was effective in reducing the childbirth fear among primi mothers.
