Globally, prevalence estimates of PCOS are highly variable, ranging from 2.2% to as high as 26%. In India, experts claim 10% of the women to be affected by PCOS and yet no proper statistical data on the occurrence of PCOS in India is available. Aim of the study was to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge regarding polycystic ovarian syndrome among adolescents. Quantitative Research approach with Pre- experimental one group pre-test & post-test design was used. Thirty samples were selected through non probability convenient sampling technique. The findings of the study revealed that pre-test mean knowledge score of PCOS was 11.53 with SD of 12.6 and the post-test mean knowledge score was 24.03 with SD of 1.27. There was a statistically significant increase in the overall knowledge regarding PCOS after structured teaching programme at p<.001 level.
