Abstract

The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Ginger tea on morning sickness among the antenatal mothers.A quasi-experimental, pretest, post test control group design was used for the present study. Sample consisted of 80 Antenatal mothers who met the inclusion criteria. Selected using Non probability convenience sampling and were randomly assigned to experimental and control group (n=40 in each group). Tools used were baseline characteristics of the mother, Rhodes index scale to assess the intensity of nausea and vomiting. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The present study concluded that natural remedy (ginger) was effective in reducing morning sickness.
