Menopause may cause joint pain that can affect the knees, shoulders, neck, elbows, or hands, because estrogen levels decline and estrogen helps to reduce inflammation. During menopause, approximately 85 percent of women report experiencing symptoms of varying type and severity of pain on joints. In this quasi-experimental study, pre-test post-test control group design was used. A total of 60 postmenopausal women were selected. Balloon Vine Oil massage with hot fomentation was performed for 12 days. Post test assessment was done was after 12 days of intervention. The comparison of pretest and post test assessment of knee joint pain and quality of life between experimental and control groups showed, a significant reduction of severe pain from 26.6% to 13.4%, moderate pain from 43.4% to 53.3%, and mild pain from 30% to 33.3%. There was a significant improvement in quality of life from low activity 50% to 26.6%, moderate activity 53.3% to 43.3% and high activity 6.7% to 20.
