Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a common condition affecting women, particularly during adolescence, a time when significant changes in reproductive maturity occur. Adolescent girls often struggle to manage PMS, which can negatively impact their academic performance and overall well-being. The objective of this study was to assess the prevalence and severity of PMS among undergraduate nursing students. Data were collected through a self-reported method from a sample of 369 B.Sc. nursing students using non-probability convenience sampling. The Modified Steiner and Wilkins Premenstrual Syndrome Scale, consisting of 30 yes/no questions, were used to assess the severity and prevalence of PMS. The findings indicated that the prevalence of PMS among the undergraduate nursing students at Dharan Nursing College was 77.51%.
