Abstract

This study assessed the effectiveness of a structured teaching programme on antenatal exercises in improving knowledge about minor pregnancy discomforts among primigravida women attending a primary health centre in Coimbatore. A pre-experimental one-group pre-test post-test design was used, involving 60 participants selected through purposive sampling. The findings revealed a significant increase in post-test knowledge scores, indicating that antenatal exercises are an effective educational intervention. The study supports the integration of structured antenatal exercise sessions into routine antenatal care.
