Abstract

The study was conducted to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding emergency contraception among married women at selected community area. A quantitative research approach with descriptive design was used. 50 Married Women were selected using convenience sampling technique. The findings revealed that most of them were having inadequate knowledge 34(68%), 16(32%) had moderately adequate knowledge, and none of them had adequate knowledge on emergency contraception. The level of attitude reveals 33(66%) had moderately favourable attitude, 13(26%) had favourable attitude and 4(8%) had unfavourable attitude The Study shows a positive correlation between knowledge and attitude, which is statistically significant (p<0.05). which clearly infers that when knowledge increases then the attitude also increases.
