Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Programme on Diet During Lactation in Terms of Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Among Primiparous Mothers in Kasturba Memorial Hospital, Dindigul

Quantitative research approach, pre-experimental one group pre test and post test was used in this study. 50 primi parous mothers who underwent caesarean section from Kasturba Memorial Hospital were selected by non-probability purposive sampling method. Knowledge and practice on diet during lactation was assessed by using a structured interview schedule. Attitude was assessed by using a 5 point Likert scale. The results revealed that there was a significant improvement in overall Knowledge, practice and attitude among mothers. Hence as knowledge increased, attitude and practice about diet during lactation also enhanced.
