Assesssment of knowledge and practice on partogram among staff nurses at Karaikal district.

Back ground: partograph is a tool of assessing the labour progress and complication associated with labour. The objective of the study was to assess the knowledge and Practice on artograph among staff nurses at Karaikal district. Material and methods: Quantitative research approach, Descriptive study design was used for the study. Samples size was 60 staff nurses and non-probability convenient sampling technique was used to select the samples. Result: The finding revealed that 45% respondent had good knowledge and 36.6% had moderate knowledge and 18.3% had very poor level of knowledge on partograph. Findings on practice on partograph revealed that 38.3% respondent had good practice, 45% had moderate and 16.6% respondent had poor level of practice.
